Because managing diabetes is often a family affair, children ages 3 to 12 with diabetes and their families, siblings, and caregivers are all invited to attend these events. The Setebaid Services’® Children's Diabetes Conferences are divided into tracts to maximize social interaction and to balance the child’s time spent with and without the rest of his or her family. Parents and children alike are sure to enjoy a relaxing weekend while having the valuable opportunity to interact with others and express shared ideas and concerns about living with diabetes. Setebaid Services® offers multiple programs and diabetes camps for children ages 8-13 with diabetes, including: The HDYC, Camp Setebaid at Camp Victory and Children's Diabetes Conferences. Regarded as one of the best camping programs in the country for children with diabetes, Camp Setebaid is held at Camp Louise just outside of Berwick, PA, where it was originally founded in 1978. Camp Setebaid at Camp Victory opened in 2007 to complement the existing Camp Setebaid. In addition to learning how to manage diabetes, campers can also take advantage of a number of fun activities including swimming, soccer, movie nights, hiking, fishing, and many more!
